RESOLUTION <br /> ALrITIORIZING THE EXCHANGE OF <br />PERSONAL PROPERTY BY PRIVATE NEGOTIATION <br />BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF CABARRUS AND <br />CABARRUS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Cabarms has used defibrillator equipment that are no longer desired for use by the <br /> staff of the Emergency Medical Services Department; and <br /> <br />the County of Cabarrus has negotiated an exchange of said equipment with Cabarrus Memorial <br />Hospital for new defibrillator equipment that will enhance efficiency and communication of data <br />for the Emergency Medical Services Department; and <br /> <br />North Carolina General Statute 160A-271 provides that the Board of Commissioners, after public <br />notice of proposed exchange, may adopt a resolution authorizing the exchange of personal property <br />by private negotiation; and <br /> <br />the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus in its meeting on February 19, 1996 <br />authorized the publication of notice for the proposed exchange of the defibrillators between the <br />County of Cabarrus and Cabarrus Memorial Hospital; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the County of Cabarrus in accordance with No,ah Carolina General Statute 160A-271 published a <br />notice in The Concord Tribune on February 23, 1996 relative to the proposed exchange of personal <br />property by private negotiation between the County of Cabarrus and Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus that <br />said Board does hereby authorize the exchange of the following personal property by private negotiation between <br />the County of Cabarrus and Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. <br /> <br />County of Cabarrus <br /> Eight (8) Lifepak 5 defibrillators; serial numbers 42393, 42434, 42912, 43788, 51080, <br /> 51081, 51478, 52527; valued at $20,000.00 ($2,500.00 each) <br /> <br />Cabarrus Memorial Hospital <br /> Eight (8) Lifepak 11 defibrillators and related equipment, valued at $127,863.00 <br /> ($15,982.88 each) <br /> <br />Adopted this 7th day of March, 1996. <br /> <br />JEFFREY L.
