November 6, 1995 <br /> <br />Resolutio~ Requesting the Release of Cabarrus County's Share of State Fund~ ~ <br />the Centrallna Counc%l of Governments <br /> <br /> Mr. Hartsell reported that the State allocation is to go to the council <br />of governments for specific purposes. Cabarrus County's share can be released <br />to Centralina if the Board passes a resolution by June 30, 1996 authorizing the <br />release of these funds. Without such a resolution, the funds will revert to the <br />State at the end of the fiscal year next June. Mr. Hartsell suggested the <br />possibility that the County may be able to negotiate with Centralina for some <br />direct use of the funds for economic development in Cabarrus County. <br /> <br /> The Board took no action on the requested resolution. Commissioner <br />Fennel stated the Economic Development Corporation would investigate this matter. <br /> <br />(3/14/96 - Commissioner Fennel recommended that the item be included on the <br /> agenda for approval.) ~ . <br /> <br /> <br />
