58-30-304 $ 3,295.00 <br /> Mat/Health/MOt Supplies <br /> <br />50.00 3,345.00 <br /> <br />Budget Amendment - Register of Deeds <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Mills and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following budget amendment. <br /> <br />BUDCET REVISION/A~ENDMENT REQUEST <br /> <br />DEPAP, T~EFr OF REGISTER OF DEEDS <br />AMOLrfrr: $13,000 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Register of Deeds <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Increase funding for indexing, books, copy flow and <br />appropriate additional revenues. <br /> <br /> Present Approved <br />Account No. Budget <br />01-9-16-10-445 55,000 <br />Purchased Service <br />01-6-16-10-501 700,000 <br /> Register of Deed Fees <br /> <br /> Revised <br />Increase Decrease Budget <br />13,000 68,000 <br /> <br /> 13,000 713,000 <br /> <br />Petition for Additional Access Road to Piedmont Residential Center and Baltimore <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Mills and <br />unanimously carried, the Board by resolution approved the addition of the <br />following roads to the State road system: Access road to Piedmont Residential <br />Development Center (unnamed) and Baltimore Lane. <br /> <br />Designation of the Caharrus Senior Center as an American Red Cross Disaster <br /> <br />Relief Center <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Mills and <br />unanimously carried, the Board by resolution approved the designation of the <br />Cabarrus County Senior Center as an American Red Cross Disaster Relief Center and <br />approved the "Statement of Understanding and Agreement Between the Cabarrus <br />County ~hapter of the American Red Cross and the Cabarrus County Senior Center". <br />The Statement of Understanding is on file in the Office of the County Manager and <br />hereby included by reference as a part of the minutes. <br /> <br />Micrographies Service Contract with Reliable Microfilming, Inc. <br /> <br /> In response to questions by Commissioner Mills regarding the proposed <br />Micrographics Service Contract, Mr. Clifton reviewed the scope of work and <br />quaIlty control measures for the provision of micrographics ser~ices. Further, <br />he pointed out that there is a 30-day termination contract provision in the event <br />that problems should occur. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Casper, seconded by Commissioner Fennel with <br />Commissioners Casper and Fennel and Chairman Barnhart voting for and Commissioner <br />Mills voting against, the Board approved the "Service Contract for Micrographics <br />Service' between Reliable Microfilming, Inc., and Cabarrus County for a period <br />of twelve (12) months beginning June 1, 1996 with a renewal option for two <br />successive one-year periods. The contract provided for the filming of documents <br />at a rate of $18.75 per 1000 images and the duplication of film, including <br />cartridge and box, at a cost of $5.75 each. The contract is on file in the <br />Office of the County Manager and hereby included by reference as a part of the <br />minutes. <br /> <br />Engineering Proposals for Industrial Access Road <br /> <br /> Mr. Clifton presented a document listing the engineering proposals which <br />had been received for the roadway design, bidding and inspection services for an <br />entrance road (Industrial Access-DOT) to a proposed manufacturing site in <br />Cabarrus County. Re explained that the company had not yet made a formal <br />announcement to locate in Cabarrus County; therefore, the name of the client as <br />well as the location of the proposed facility had been blacked out on the <br />document. To expedite the engineering aspect of the project, Mr. Clifton <br />requested the Board to authorize the spending of an amount up to $8,500.00 on <br /> <br /> <br />
