Clifton/County Manager <br /> <br />Mike Byrd/Transportation Planner <br /> <br />DATE: June 12, 1996 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Elderly and Disabled Transportation Assistance Program (EDTAP) Grant <br />Application <br /> <br />The North Carolina Department of Transportation has an annual Grant Program for <br />EDTAP funding. This funding is available to all counties in the State, and requires no <br />match in funding from the local government. The funding must be used to provide <br />transportation to either elderly or handicapped individuals who are not eligible for any <br />other source of transportation funding. Our County is eligible to receive $37,388 through <br />this Grant. <br /> <br />Attached is a resolution that must be approved by the Commissioners and included in the <br />Grant Application for the funding. The application has to be returned to Raleigh in a <br />completed form by July 22, 1996 to be eligible for funding.
