FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO FIRE DEPARTMENTS <br />Sec. 34-26. Offered to qualified departments. <br />The county will offer financial assistance for the maintenance and <br />operation of any volunteer fire department of a fire district <br />qualifying for financial assistance under the terms of this article <br />in an amount determined by the County Manager, consistent with the <br />policies of the Board of Commissioners, not to exceed $3,000 per <br />year, and by revenue collected from the fire district tax, provided <br />a tax district has been established in accordance with G.S. 69-25.1 <br />et seq. for the area served. <br /> <br />Adopted this 17th day of June, 1996. <br /> <br /> L~/ Jeffrey L.
