20:44 704-7889828 COHNISSIONER NILLS PAGE 02 <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />North Carolina <br /> <br /> RF, SOLUTION <br /> <br />WIiEREAS, q'he North Carolina General Statutes permit public bodies to hold closed sessions <br /> l~r certain specified purposes. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, '['he Board of Cabarrus County Cor~missioners believes in the "people's right to <br /> knov~" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Thc Board of Cabarrus County Commissioners believes its citizens are entitled to <br /> know the method and voting status of each decision of the Board. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Board of Cabarrus County Commissioners for the purpose of closed sessions <br /> defines actio~ls as votes taken, consensus, or a show of hands, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />The Board of Cabarrus County Commissioners shall immediately, and without <br />request, noti~ the general public that said minutes and audio recordings of closed <br />sessions are available for inspection, provided there is closure and/or resolution to <br />the subject matter necessitating the closed session, and also providing the county <br />alton~¢y has reviewed the minutes for liabilities. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it shall be the policy of the Cabarrus County <br />Board of Commissioners to direct the Clerk to the Board to make and keep full and accurate <br />minutes of all closed sessions by means of handwritten notes and a complete audio recording. <br /> <br />This the 16t~ day of September, 1996. <br /> <br />$effrey L.
