Reconfirm that the County's basic inspection positions be that of Inspector <br /> (at salary grade 66) with a NC Standard Certificate Level II - in the desired <br /> primary trade. <br />2. Establish that if, a qualified lndiv£dual (Level I1 Certification), cannot <br /> be employed, a lesser certified applicant may be considered for employment <br /> as an Apprentice Inspector (at salary grade 65) in a work against status, <br /> until reaching Level II Certification. <br />3. Payment of once a year bonuses to Inspectors and Lead Inspectors who qualify <br /> for and utilize certifications to inspect in areas other than in their <br /> primary trade. <br /> · Payment would be for areas and levels of certification approved by the <br /> Development Services Director. <br /> · Costs of approved certification classes would be underwritten by the <br /> County. <br /> · .
