NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING INTENT TO CLOSE <br />EASEMENTS DEDICATED FOR PUBLIC ROADS <br /> <br /> WI-IEREa,_q, at the September 16, 1996, meeting of the Board of Commissioners for <br />Cabarrus County ("the Board"), the Board acknowledged receipt of a Petition to adopt a <br />resolution and order closing Forest Drive (unopened) in Township 2, Cabarrus County, North <br />Carolina, as more particularly described in maps on file in the Office of Land Records and/or <br />the Office of the Register of Deeds of Cabarrus County (the "Road"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to N.C.G.S. 153A-241, it is the intention of the Board to conduct <br />a public hearing to close the Road; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board desires to notify the public regarding said public hearing on the <br />issue of closing the Road. <br /> <br />BE IT THEREFORE, RESOLVED THAT: <br /> <br /> 1. A meeting and public hearing on the closing of Forest Drive (unopened), Township <br />2, Concord, North Carolina shall be held before the Board at 7:00 P.M. on the 18th day of <br />November, 1996, or as soon thereafter as persons may be heard. <br /> <br /> 2. This resolution declaring the Board's intent to close an easement dedicated for a <br />public road be published in The Concord Tribune on Monday, October 21 and 28 and <br />November 4 and 11, 1996, and be prominently posted on at least two (2) places along the <br />Road. <br /> <br /> 3.
