Your efforts in attending meetings and monitoring visits
even at times that may have been difficult for you do not go unnoticed. You were always
there "over and above the call of duty"; and for that, we are most appreciative.

At our quarterly Nursing Home CAC meeting last Tuesday, October 8, 1996, the committee
wanted the following message conveyed to you: "We enjoyed working with Marie and send
both she and her family our best regards". The committee expressed their thanks for your
support and loyalty and for your concern of the residents. It is definitely everyone's loss -
residents and committee members alike - since we all were the beneficiaries of your kind and
caring ways. Please know that we wish circumstances could have been different; however,
we are obligated to abide by what the law dictates with regard to the committee's
membership requirements. It is our hope that should your circumstances change and you
would be interested and willing to serve on the committee again that you would contact the
Cabarrus County Clerk, Susie Bonds, as to your interest.

Again, many many thanks for all that you have done to improve the quality of life and the
quality of care of all residents in Cabarrus County nursing facilities. We wish you well with
your father as we know this can be a difficult time in your life. If any of us can ever be of
any help or assistance to you, please do not hesitate to call and let us know. With all of our
kindest regards, we remain

Sine'ely, ~ _,/. .

"-~L~fln Hennis, Ombudsman, and
the Cabarrus County Nursing Home
Community Advisory Committee

**Ms.

cci

Pless advised Dr. Oren Hill, Chairman of
the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee,
that she would like to return as a member of
the committee.

~ffusie Bonds - Cabarrus County Clerk
Lottie Massey - Lead Regional Ombudsman
Cabarrus County Nursing Home CAC Members

CABARRUS COUNTY concord harrisburg kannapolis mount pleasant GASTON COUNTY belmont bessemer city cherryville cramerton dallas
gastonia high shoals lowell mcadenville mount holly ranlo spencer mountain stanley IREDELL COUNTY harmony mooresville statesville
troutman LINCOLN COUNTY lincolnton MECKLENBURG COUNTY charlotte cornelius davidson huntersville matthews mint hill pineville
ROWAN COUNTY china grove cleveland faith granite quarry landis rockwell salisbury spencer STANLY COUNTY albemarle badin locust
new london norwood oakboro richfield stanfield UNION COUNTY indian trail lake park marshville monroe stallings waxhaw wingate

/3
