Program summaries for three (3) 4-H program requests <br />are attached as follows: <br /> <br />A. 4-H S.O.S. (Support Our Students) Program <br /> <br />B. 4-H PACK (Positive Activities for Cool Kids) Summer Program <br /> <br />G.. 4-H 'Summer Fling' Program <br /> <br />The Expanded Foods and Nutrition Education Program {EFNEP) is a food and nutrition <br />program administered by the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service. Two (2) <br />program assistants are housed in Cabarrus, and are funded by state and federal. The 'Out <br />For Lunch' program is a special program within EFNEP for food stamp eligible families with <br />preschool children. Cabarrus County provides facilities and limited operating expenses <br />within the total Cooperative Extension budget. <br /> <br />The Memorandum of Understanding request is a way to allow paymentS'to be made for <br />miscellaneous expenses that will be reimbursed by the state. Additional information on <br />EFNEP and 'Out For Lunch' is attached. <br /> <br />We have spent a considerable amount of time and thought in planning and preparing these <br />requests.
