PROGRAM SUMMARY <br />FY 1996-97 <br /> <br />Department - Cooperative Extension Service <br /> <br />Program - 4-H Summer Fling (54-25) <br /> <br />Program Summary: <br /> <br /> The 4-H Summer Fling is a program that has been offered several years, and in 1996 was <br />taught by 127 volunteers in over 200 different classes with 782 children. The program is <br />funded by fees paid by participants. In the past, each participant has taken 3-4 different <br />classes. The program is expected to offer about 4,000 learning experiences and has made the <br />program the most popular activity (copy of program announcement for 1996 is attached). <br /> <br /> This program is supervised by Mrs. Pamela C. Outen, Extension Agent - Family and <br />Consumer Education, and is a part of the Cabarrus 4-H Program. The Cabarrus Extension staff <br />will also teach classes. Two (2) program assistants will be employed to help administer and <br />manage the program.
