Cabarrus County <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Organized Division of Facility Services Resident Assessment Protocol Training for the regional <br />long term care facilities. <br /> <br />Coordinated continuing education classes with the Southern Piedmont Alzheimer's Association <br />for the regional long term care facilities. <br /> <br />Attended three-hour CEU training course entitled "Depression and the Elderly" sponsored by the <br />Cabarrus Domiciliary Home Work Group. <br /> <br />Conducted six (6) residents' rights monitoring visits with the Cabarrus County Domiciliary Home <br />Community Advisory Committee (CAC). <br /> <br />Conducted one (1) residents' rights monitoring visit with the Cabarrus County Nursing Home <br />Community Advisory Committee (CAC). <br /> <br />Worked with facility administrators, residents and families to resolve grievances. <br /> <br />Provided technical assistance to family caregivers and residents. <br /> <br /> Planning ACtivities <br /> <br />Cabarrus County - Continued providing cable TV administration services. <br /> <br />Cabarrus County - Began preliminary work on the County's 4-year Transportation Development <br />Plan. <br /> <br /> ,Rec~ional ACtivities <br /> <br />Our Region Tomorrow - Steering Committee meetings were held on November 3 and 17. The <br />Steering Committee narrowed the list of possible study areas to: 1) Preparation of the <br />Workforce, 2) Fragmentation among governments, 3) Provision of infrastructure, and 4) Balance <br />between growth and quality of life. <br /> <br />Building Permit Project - Ongoing update of current data. Provided custom reports upon <br />request. <br /> <br />Data Center - Continued to monitor and collect statistical information relating to municipalities <br />and counties within the Region and State. Disseminated information upon request to local <br />governments and private sector. <br /> <br />Attended a CDBG application workshop in Asheville. <br /> <br /> <br />
