Property Maintenance Division <br /> <br /> The Property Maintenance Division of the Cabarrus <br />County Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for <br />maintaining all landscape properties owned by Cabarrus <br />County and all county school athletic facilities. The Mainte- <br />nance Division presently consists of five full time employ- <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County properties consist of the follow- <br />ing: Health Department, Health Department Annex, County <br />Office Complex, County Courthouse, Governmental Cen- <br />ter, Kannapolis Library, General Services Administration, <br />County Garage, County Landfill, three ambulance stati~ns,~ <br />Senior Center, Sheriff Department Training Center, Board <br />of Elections, two water tank towers, two public parking lots <br />and all parking lots at each property. <br /> In addition to routine maintenance, such as mowing, <br />pruning, leaf collection, snow removal, seeding, fertilization, <br />pesticide applications, irrigation repairs, the Maintenance <br />Department undertakes major projects at properties also. <br />This years projects include additional parking at Board of <br />Elections, additional parking lot at Social Services, removal <br />and installation of fence on fields 1 and 2 at Frank Liske <br />Park, repaired storm ctrain at Sheriff Department parking lot, <br />construction of handicapped parking spaces at Frank Liske <br />Park. <br /> The Property Maintenance Division supplied materials <br />and manpower to special events, contributing to the success <br />of programs such as Special Olympics, Senior Games, <br />Holiday Highlights, WestemFest, County Employee Picnic, <br />several tennis camps and Senior Carnival. <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br /> <br />
