CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a large number of the older adults in Cabarrus County and throughout the <br /> State of North Carolina are unemployed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />these middle-aged and older workers bring extensive experience and high job <br />qualifications to the work force of the County and the State, and are steady, <br />reliable workers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the local office of the Employment Security Commission of North Carolina <br />is part of a national effort to stimulate awareness of the assets of the older <br />worker; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to focus on the employment needs of older workers, the second full <br /> week of March is observed annually as "Employ the Older Worker Week". <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners proclaims March <br />12 - 18, 1995 as "Employ the Older Worker Week" in Cabarms County and urges our <br />employers to add invaluable experience and knowledge to their staffs through the <br />employment of older adults. <br /> <br />This the 6th day of March, 1995. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Jeffrey L.
