CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br /> Job Training Activities <br /> <br /> Completed and distributed Job Training program monitoring reports for the following <br /> Cabarrus County contractors: <br /> <br /> * Kannapolis City Schools - January 23 <br /> * North Carolina Department of Labor - January 26 <br /> <br />Conducted meeting of the Centralina Private Industry Council and Job Training <br />Consortium on January 24. Attended by Cabarrus County PIC members James Polk and <br />Tonia Black-Gold. <br /> <br />Facilitated Cabarrus County Local Workforce Development Meeting at Rowan-Cabarrus <br />CC in Concord on January 30. Surveyed local human service providers and others to <br />determine needs and potential services for job training to deliver. <br /> <br />Participated in meeting with Cabarrus County Department of Social Services Absent <br />Parents program staff on January 19 to discuss program improvement. <br /> <br />Participated in MICRO-OIS (Occupational Information System) computer training at <br />Mitchell Community College in Statesville on January 6. <br /> <br />Participated in U.S. Department of Labor Region IV Peer-To-Peer work group session <br />(with 8 southeastern states) in Orlando, Florida on January 9-10. <br /> <br />Participated in DET-SDA Directors meeting in Raleigh on January 11. <br /> <br />Met with Department of Commerce Deputy Secretaries Bob Goodale and Susan Perry- <br />Cole on January 11 to discuss MIS problems at state level. <br /> <br />Participated in N.C. Private Industry Council Association strategic planning session in <br />Greensboro on January 17. <br /> <br />Attended N.C. Training Institute Board meeting in Greensboro on January 23. <br /> <br />Attended and participated in DET-JTPA Final Rule/Regulations training in Greensboro on <br />January 24-25. <br /> <br />Reviewed, processed, & corrected Monthly Performance Reports from contractors. <br />Provided technical assistance to JTPA/NCETGP contractor staff. <br /> <br />Processed Monthly Financial Status Reports & Requests for Funds from program <br />contractors. <br /> <br /> <br />
