Little, Director <br />Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department <br /> <br />Recommended Revisions in the State of North Carolina Department of <br />Environment, Health and Natural Resource's Limited Food Service Establishment <br />Rules <br /> <br /> During a meeting on March 2, 1995, Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation reviewed the <br />new requirements for opening a Limited Food Service Establishment. These new regulations will <br />greatly impact volunteer athletic leagues and public park concession operations. Cabarrus County <br />volunteer athletic leaders and sponsoring agencies were invited to this meeting to gather <br />information and ask questions concerning these regulations. Cabarrus County Health Department <br />of~cials (Director Fred Pilkington, Meda Snipes, and David Troutman) and Building Inspector, <br />Bryan Burris were present in an effort to answer questions. <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Commission approved to send to the local <br />State Representatives and to the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners the recommended <br />changes in the present regulations for Limited Food Establishment: <br /> <br />(1) Limited Food Establishment Law should have less restrictive guidelines. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Recommended to change the Regulations for a Limited Food Establishment for <br />any facilities who serve more than 120 days per year instead of the present 60 <br />days. <br /> <br /> Parks and Recreation Department <br /> <br />755 Cabarrus Avenue ',Nest ,, PO Box '07 · Concord, NC 28026-070' * (704) 7556150 <br /> <br /> <br />
