NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> REGARDING FINANCING FOR <br />MIDLAND VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT, INC. <br /> <br /> The Midland Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. (the "Department") proposes to <br />borrow up to $150,000 (the "Loan") to finance the acquisition of a new 1995 Mack fire truck <br />and ancillary and related equipment to be located at 1593 Highway 27 East, Midland 28107, <br />Cabarrus County, North Carolina (the "Equipment"). The Equipment will be owned and <br />operated by the Department and will be located at the existing fire station owned and <br />operated by the Department. <br /> <br /> Please take notice that the Board of County Commissioners for the County of <br />Cabarrus will hold a public hearing in the Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Cabarrus <br />County Governmental Center at 65 Church Street SE in Concord, North Carolina on April <br />3, 1995, at 6:30 P.M. at which any person may be heard regarding the Loan and the <br />Equipment. Following the hearing the Board of County Commissioners intends to consider <br />and take action on proposals to approve the Loan and to approve the Equipment. Neither <br />the County nor any agency thereof shall be liable in any event for the repayment of the <br />Loan, the Loan does not constitute an indebtedness of the County or any agency thereof and <br />does not constitute or create in any manner a debt or liability of the County or any agency <br />thereof. Any person wishing to comment in writing on the proposed Loan or the Equipment <br />should do so, within fourteen (14) days after the date of publication of this notice, to the <br />County, c/o Fletcher L.
