Garbage that has not been ground or
comminuted to such a degree that all particles will be carried freely
in suspension under flow conditions normally prevailing in the public
sewers, with no particle greater than one half inch in any dimension.

Radioactive Wastes. Any wastewater containing radioactive wastes or
isotopes except as specifically approved by the Executive Director in
compliance with applicable State and Federal regulation.

Toxic Substances. Any wastewater causing the treatment plant effluent
to violate State Water Quality Standards for toxic substances as
described in 1SA NCAC 2B .0200.

Unpolluted Waters. Storm water, surface water, ground water, artesian
well water, roof runoff, subsurface drainage, swimming pool drainage,
condensate, deionized water, noncontact cooling water and unpolluted
industrial wastewater, unless specifically authorized by the Executive
Director. In no case, shall a substance discharged to the
POTW cause the POTW to be in noncompliance with sludge use or disposal
regulations or permits issued under Section 405 of the Act; the Solid
Waste Disposal Act, the Clean Air Act, the Toxic Substance Control Act,
or State criteria applicable to the sludge management method being
used.

Heavy Metals. Any waters or wastes containing amounts of arsenic,
cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, nickel, zinc or other heavy metals
which exceed national categorical standards, local limits, interfere
with treatment efficiency of sludge disposal criteria or cause the POTW
to exceed NPDES permit limitations.

Poisons.
