Pleasant, NC 28124 <br /> <br />Dear Gary: <br /> <br />Re: Property Acquisitions <br /> - Westside Elementary <br /> <br /> Supplementing our letter to you of April 17, 1995, we have <br />discussed the appraisal values set forth in Bill Ferris's <br />appraisals with Ms. Moss and she has, along with her father, agreed <br />to accept the sum of $40,000 for the 2.1± acre tract outlined in <br />the enclosed plat representing that portion of the 5.736 acre tract <br />west of the eastern boundary of the proposed 100-foot right of way. <br /> <br /> If this amount is satisfactory, we ask that the School Board <br />authorize the approval of its acquisition for $40,000 as outlined <br />in the appraisal. We are transmitting a copy of this letter to the <br />County Manager for ratification of the approval of the purchase by <br />the Board of County Commissioners. Your motion, if chosen, is "to <br />approve the purchase of approximately 2.1 acres located on the <br />south side of Weddington Road from Jane Elizabeth Moss and Harry <br />Cress for the sum of $40,000, subject to ratification by the Board <br />of Commissioners." <br /> <br /> Additionally and separately, we would appreciate the Board's <br />considering the employment of Bill Ferris to conduct a "review <br />appraisal" upon the 59 acre tract which serves as the primary site <br />for the school.
