PROPOSED AMENDIVIENTS TO CHAPTER 14 <br />BUILDINGS AND BUILDING REGULATIONS <br />CABARRUS COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners that <br />Chapter 14, Buildings and Building Regulations, of the Code of Ordinances, <br />Cabarrus Coumty, North Carol~na,'i$ hereby amended as follows. <br /> <br />Add to Section 14-27(a) <br /> <br />Seated architect or engineer drawings of appropriate footer and fou~_d~tion <br />design shall be submitted when existing structures (which are designed to <br />human occupation) are to be relocated to a new _pr_opera_. <br /> <br />Amend Sectionl~29(b) <br /> <br />It shah be unlawful to proceed with work on a project after a building, <br />plumbing, heating, insulation, cooling, fire sprinkler, or electrical contractor has <br />l~ccn released or dismissed from the job without first obtaining a letter of release <br />from the structure's or building's owner and/or the contractor. <br /> <br />Add to Section 14-32 (b) <br /> <br />As the work pursuant to a pe~adt progresses, local inspectors shall make as <br />many inspections of the work as may be necessary to satisfy them that it is being <br />done according to the provisions of the applicable state and local laws and local <br />ordinances and regulations and the terms of the permiL Strings showing outside <br />wall locations and grade markers are required to show depth of concrete. In <br />exercising this power, each member of the planning, zoning and building <br />inspection department has a right, upon presentation of proper credentials, to <br />enter on any premises within the territorial jurisdiction of the department at any <br />reasonable hour for the purposes of inspection or other enforcement action. <br /> <br /> <br />
