NO.: <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />95001.03 <br /> <br />iNTEGRATION OF PARKS/ATHLETIC'FIELDS INTO <br />FACILITY <br /> <br />We appreciate your coming to the office today to discuss how we can integrate any <br />desires you may have into the planning of Rocky River Elementary School. Because <br />decisions must be made so quickly on this project due to scheduling requirements, we <br />offer the following as documentation of the discussion: <br /> <br />Concept for Facility - As discussed, the concept for the facility will be to utilize <br />a site and building plan almost identical to the WES project. Therefore, very <br />little can be changed on the site or facility without a direct impact on cost of <br />construction. <br /> <br />The facility will be oriented to best serve future recreational fields as may be <br />developed by Cabarms County. Efforts will be made to provide water, sewer, <br />and other infrastructural provisions to allow for your future construction. <br /> <br />The ball fields that will be constructed with the elementary school will be <br />elongated to approximately 200 ft. from home plate. Revisions to the safety <br />security fence behind the baseball diamond will be provided as you give us <br />dimensions. <br /> <br />It is our understanding that you will investigate the possibility of enlarging the <br />existing P.E. Room as designed within the building plans. In order to accomplish <br />the increased size of the basketball court from 30' x 70' to 50' x 84', this will <br />require redesign of the entire P.E. space. We guesstimate the design fee to do <br />this will be approximately $10,000 - $15,000. An additional construction cost <br />could be expected of approximately $100,000. If Cabarms County desires this <br />work to be accomplished, it could be done very easily at this time. Obviously, <br />funds would need to become available to increase the project budget to allow for <br />these changes. We will await your desires concerning the enlargement of the <br />P.E. space to a more full-size gymnasium. If this change is to be accomplished <br />as part of this project, then a decision will need to be made very soon in order to <br />be able to incorporate changes into the design documents. <br /> <br /> <br />
