CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Meeting Date November 20. 1995 <br /> <br />Agenda Item #, ~ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Appointments - Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee (3) <br /> (Formerly the 'Domiciliary" Home Community Advisory Committee. Senate Bill 502 <br /> approved by the General Assembly on July 29, 1995 changed the name to Adult Care <br /> Home Community Advisory Committee effective October 1, 1995) <br /> <br />Ms. Lynn Hennis, Ombudsman for Cabarrus County, has advised that two additional members <br />should be appointed to the Committee. State law dictates the number of committee members <br />based upon the number of Homes for the Aged in the county. Cabarrus County currently has <br />eight Homes, thus requiring 10 committee members. <br /> <br />Also, Ms. Jeanne Ashley (appointed June 19, 1995) has resigned from the committee. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: Make three appointments for initial terms of one year effective <br />December 1, 1995 through November 30, 1996. <br /> <br />Attachments X Yes No <br /> <br />Expected Length of Presentation <br /> <br />Has this been reviewed by the Budget Director?
