We have ~ust finalized det-~ls in the planning for this ~nt in order to n~ke application. I will send you a copy of our grant request as soon as it is completed tht~ w~ek. The JOBS LINKS Demonstration l~oJect is comprised of 100% federal funds. The only County position involved with the grant is that of a current Social Worker with the JOBS program. If we receive the gr~nt, we would reassign a portion of her JOBS caseload to some other staff and assign her responsibilities with the JOBLINKS prog~n for appro:~"mtely 25% of her time. Since we pl_,~ to use a eu~nt staff member, there will not he Any additional space needs. The JOBLINKS Project related transportation. The additio~! federal fun~_~ to clients in more rural areas capabilities in meet~n~ urgent focuses on eXl~n~n_= job trainin~ and employment JOBLINKS gr~nt offers us the oppor~,ntty to use some help in expa~dtn_~ our transportation services to serve of the County and to increase the de-mud response transportation needs of JOBS clients. At the same time, we will be able to use clients from the JOBS and Jobs for Dads pro~'r~mA to place them with CTS/Mayflower T~n~portstion Services as drive~s in on-the-job tr~tnin~ slots. These efforts through the demonstration ~rant ~y help us to emplo7 JOBS clients and absent parents white helpin~ to expand capabilities of the current tr~n~portation system.
