When directed, act on behalf of the Chairman, <br />County Commissioners in the control of <br />emergency operations. <br /> <br />Ensure that financial records of expenditures <br />are kept during emergencies. <br /> <br />Function as the official County spokesperson <br />and Public Information Officer or assure that <br />a qualified trained PIO is in place. <br /> <br />Emerqenc¥ Manaqement Coordinator <br /> <br />Perform assigned duties according to state <br />statutes and local ordinances. <br /> <br />de <br /> <br />Responsible for planning in accordance with <br />Federal and State guidelines and coordination <br />of emergency operations within the <br />jurisdiction. <br /> <br />Establish and equip the County Emergency <br />Operating Center (EOC) to include primary and <br />backup radio communications (fixed and <br />mobile), and provide for operations on a <br />continuous basis as required. <br /> <br />En~ure adequate training for the emergency <br />management organization. <br /> <br />Recruit and insure training of radiological <br />and disaster analysis staff. <br /> <br />Maintain a current list of available <br />resources. <br /> <br />ge <br /> <br />Coordinate exercises and tests of the <br />emergency systems within the County. <br /> <br />Maintain liaison with utility companies to <br />arrange for back-up water, power and <br />telephone service during emergencies. <br /> <br />Maintain administrative records as required. <br /> <br />Alert and activate, as required, the County <br />Emergency Management organization when <br />informed of an emergency within the County. <br /> <br />Receive requests for assistance from <br />municipalities within the County and direct <br />aid to areas where needed. <br /> <br />BP.6 July, 1993 <br /> <br /> <br />
