Cabarrus County <br />Marketing Boards' Structure <br /> January, 1994 <br /> <br />Marketing <br />Executive <br />Committee <br /> <br />The Marketing Executive Committee will coordinate <br />activities between the Economic Development Corp., <br />Tourism Authority, and Sports Authority. <br />-County Commissioners appointed to these boards <br />-County Manager* <br />-Chairman, Economic Development Corporation* <br />-Chairman, Tourism Authority* <br />-Chairman, Sports Authority* <br /> <br />Economic <br />Development <br />Corporation <br />Board (11) <br /> <br />The Economic Development Corporation will be <br />primarily responsible for industrial recruitment and <br />retention of existing businesses. <br />-Two County Commissioners <br />-County Manager* <br />-Concord City Manager* <br />-Kannapolis City Manager * <br />-Executive Director-Water & Sewer Authority* <br />-Executive Director-Concord/Cabarrus COC* <br />-Executive Director-Kannapolis COC* <br />-Member of the Cabarrus County NC Senate/House <br /> delegation <br />-Two Cabarrus County citizens who do not live or work <br /> within the city limits of Concord/Kannapolis <br /> <br />Tourism <br />Authority <br />Board (9) <br /> <br />The Tourism Authority will be responsible for <br />increasing tourism in the County and developing an <br />economic impact for the benefit of area motels and <br />tourist attractions. <br />-One County Commissioner <br />-Two Selected At Large by the County Commissioners <br />-Three Submitted by Concord-Cabarrus Chamber <br />-Three Submitted by Kannapolis Chamber <br /> <br />Sports <br />Authority <br />Board (9) <br /> <br />The Sports Authority will be responsible for developing <br />sports facilities and recruiting sporting events that <br />will have a positive economic impact on Cabarrus Co. <br />-One County Commissioner <br />-County Parks and Recreation Director* <br />-Concord Park and Recreation Director* <br />-Three Sports Organization Representatives <br />-Three Business Representatives <br /> <br />* May designate someone in their organization to serve in their place. <br /> <br /> <br />
