Box 707 <br />Concord, NC 28026~707 <br /> <br />Dear Blair: <br /> <br /> In a regular meeting on January 25, 1994, the Cabarrus-Rowan Park Commission took <br />action on the following items: <br /> <br /> In the first item on the agenda under reports, the Director reported that Mr. Fred Ponder <br />was appointed to a four year.term on the Cabarrus-Rowan Park Commission by the Rowan <br />County Board of Commissioners. It was also reported that U.S. Tobacco Sales and Marketing <br />failed to provide funds for the Bakers Creek Park's playground project. The Director also <br />reported on the regional Sports Task Force Proposal for a large professional baseball park and <br />recreational athletic complex. <br /> <br /> In the next item on the agenda, the Director provided a progress report on the proposed <br />plans to comply with ADA regulations at Bakers Creek Park. The Park Commission approved to <br />give the Director, Cabarrus County Manager and the staffthe authority to make a decision on the <br />grading/paving bid for the ADA improvements, as long it doesn't exceed the budget amount and <br />with the provision that if there need to be any changes in the specifications, a Park Commission <br />meeting will be called. <br /> <br /> The last item on the agenda, the Park Commission reviewed and approved the proposed <br />Cabarrus-Rowan Park Commission Fiscal Year Budget 1994-95.
