Box 707
Concord, NC 28026

RE: Deductible Program Information and
1994-95 Estimation

Dear Blair,

Per our recent telephone conversation, it is my understanding that you requested an estimate for
the 1994-95 deductible program. You also asked several questions regarding how the deductible
program worked.

Attached you will find an estimate for the deductible program the 1994-95 renewal. I must
stress the word "estimate", as premiums will change upon receipt of your 1994 renewal payroll.
I have also attached Total Paid Reports for the 88-89 through 92-93 policy years, and a listing
of audited premiums for the 88-89 through 92-93 policy years.

In response to your questions regarding the deductible program, I offer the following
explanations:

The Claims Deposit amount is based upon 2.5 times your past three years average
claims disbursement. We take the past three years total paid amounts, add them
together, divide by 36 months and multiply this total times 2.5 to get a county's
Claims Deposit premium amount.

The deductible amount does require monthly payments. Each month you will be
invoiced for the total amount of claims paid during the previous month. If and
when your deductible amount is reached, invoicing will then cease and claims will
be paid as always.

u-/
