EVALUATION OF TELEPHONE SYSTEMS
for

CABARRUS COUNTY HOME HEALTH AGENCY
Sheet 3 of 3

VENDOR SUPPORT (continued)
the local advantage of only paying for 5 minutes of "windshield time" compared to
paying for a technician's round trip from Charlotte with other vendor alternatives.
Another CTC advantage is that we have easier access to their top management in the
event you need to obtain help that normal contacts can not deliver. This level of
support will be harder to locate when you may have to deal with Digitel, Central Health
Services, or a yet to be identified Charlotte vendor organization.

RECOMMENDATIONS
The CTC Comdial Impact DXP system with (56) 24 Button LCD Speakerphones with a
60 month Full Service Lease rate of $824.60/month appears to be the best overall
alternative based on cost and technical evaluations. The vendor support expected
from CTC is predictably better than with the other alternative.

We also strongly suggest installing a separate overhead speaker system for use even
though the telephone systems allow paging via speakers in the telephones. Our
experience with paging via speakers in the telephones is that it is very disruptive and
ineffective due to the fact that the more telephones that are in use at the time of the
page, the lower the coverage.

If you elect to use voice mail/automated attendant service, you should start with at
least a 4 pod/4 hour system. We need to discuss voice mail in more detail if you are
interested in adding it at this time.
