JUSTIFICATION FOR MEAL COST <br /> FOR THE <br />CONGREGATE NUTRITION PROGRAM <br /> <br />Cabarrus County Department of Aging is requesting the reimbursement <br />rate for congregate meals to be adjusted a little above the <br />recommended adjustment rate of 2.58 to 2.6012 per meal for fiscal <br />year FY'95. This rate is less than 1% of the allowable rate <br />increase. <br /> <br />Last fiscal year, our bid price per meal increased 10% which placed <br />a burden on our budget for meals this current fiscal year. Our <br />reimbursement rate should have increased above the recommended rate <br />this year, but the HCCBG funding plan had been prepared and <br />submitted prior to our bid opening. <br /> <br />We are requesting the reimbursement rate submitted in this funding <br />plan be accepted as a fair and justified request. <br /> <br /> <br />
