Box 966 <br />Concord, lqC 28025 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. McDonald: <br /> <br />Per your request and our conversation, I have investigated the cost of insuring the Historic <br />Cabarrus Courthouse with our present carrier. You indicated that your present coverage would <br />cost over $5,000 in insurance premiums for the coming year. As I understand the situation, you <br />are therefore requesting that Cabarrus County purchase the insurance coverage through our <br />carrier and the Historic Association reimburse Cabarrus County. The cost for $1,500,000 of <br />coverage would be $2,640.00. However, before we could make the coverage available, the Board <br />of Commissioners would need to change the requirements as set forth in items 3 and 4 of the <br />lease agreement. To make this effective for July 1, 1994, you would need to request from the <br />Board of Commissioners a change in the lease contract and ascertain their permission to proceed <br />in this manner.
