RESOLUTION <br />HONORING C.D. LYONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Board of Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus appointed C.D. <br />Lyons to the Cabarrus County Community Based Alternatives Task Force <br />in July, 1980; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, C.D. Lyons voluntarily served faithfully and tirelessly on the Community <br /> Based Alternatives Task Force for fourteen years, through June 1994; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, C.D. Lyons served as Chairman of the Community Based Alternatives Task <br /> Force for a total of seven years on three separate occasions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />through his leadership and service, the Cabarrus County Community Based <br />Alternatives Task force has become one of the most successful in the State <br />of North Carolina. <br /> <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Commissioners of the County of <br />Cabarrus recognize C.D Lyons for his outstanding and selfless contribution to the youth of this <br />county; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution of appreciation shall be spread <br />across the official minutes of the County Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus for all to see <br />through perpetuity. <br /> <br />Adopted this the 3rd day of October, 1994. <br /> <br />Jeffrey L.
