o <br /> <br />Cabarrus County <br /> <br />PROCEDURE FOR CABLE TELEVISION BASIC SERVICES RATE REVIEW <br /> <br />Filing of basic services rate change request: <br /> <br /> All requests must be filed in writing simultaneously with both Cabarrus County <br /> and Centralina Council of Governments (Atto: David Galati, Centralina Council <br /> of Governments, P.O. Box 35008, Charlotte, NC 28235) <br /> <br /> All requests must be filed a minimum of thirty (30) days prior to proposed <br /> implementation. <br /> <br /> All requests must include the following financial information, as applicable: <br /> <br /> Benchmark information, including applicable Federal Communications <br /> Commission (FCC) forms, and work sheets; <br /> <br /> Cost of service information, including applicable FCC forms and work <br /> sheets; <br /> <br /> Other financial information which may be necessary to verify application <br /> of appropriate FCC formula; <br /> <br /> Additional information which may be requested by Centralina Council of <br /> Governments during the review process. <br /> <br />Within five (5) business days of receipt, Centralina Council of Governments will: <br /> <br /> Begin an internal review process of the cable operator's request and financial <br /> information. <br /> <br /> Open a ten (10) day public comment period by issuing a press release to local <br /> news media. <br /> <br />Within twenty (20) business days of receipt, Cabarrns County, through Centralina <br />Council of Governments, will take the following actions, as applicable: <br /> <br /> File appropriate written notice of the necessity to extend the review period, as <br /> required under FCC regulations, if necessary. <br /> <br /> If the staff review determines the proposed rates are within the applicable FCC <br /> guidelines, a letter will be prepared for signature by the Chairman of the County <br /> Board of Commissioners notifying the cable operator that the rate change request <br /> is approved. <br /> <br /> <br />
