NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br />ORIGINAL LEASE <br /> <br /> THIS LEASE, made and entered into this the 7th day of February , 1994, by and <br />between the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of Cabarrus County, North Carolina, a <br />body corporate and politic, hereinafter called "the County" or" Cabarrus County", and <br />HISTORIC CABARRUS, INC., a non-profit corporation organized and existing under the laws <br />of the State of North Carolina, having its principal office in the City of Concord, Cabarms <br />County, North Carolina, hereinafter called "Historic Cabarrus"; <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: that-- <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County has determined that the property hereinafter described, known as <br />the "Old Cabarrus County Courthouse", will not be needed by the County for the term of this <br />lease and the renewal term; and that it is in the best interest of the County to enter into this Lease <br />Agreement. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE PREMISES AND OF THE <br />AGREEMENTS HEREINAFTER SET OUT TO BE DONE AND PERFORMED BY <br />HISTORIC CABARRUS, the County does hereby demise and lease unto Historic Cabarrus the <br />following described property: <br /> <br /> Lying and being in Ward No. 3 of the City of Concord, North Carolina, on <br /> the east side of South Union Street and on the south side of Means Avenue and <br /> being the lot upon which the old Cabarrus County Courthouse is located and <br /> described as follows: .~ <br /> <br /> BEGINNING at a point in the southeast intersection of South Union Street <br /> and Means Avenue and running thence with Means Avenue in an easterly direction <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
