The committee experienced the following strengths during the year: <br /> <br />1. Appointment of 4 new members who are very committed. We now have a <br /> <br /> dedicated 7-member committee. <br /> <br />2. Worked hard to get all nursinq homes represented at our Resident <br /> Riqhts luncheon. All were represented. <br /> <br />3. Committee experienced loss of four members durinq '92. Limited <br /> understanding of CAC linkaqe to County Commissioners by some facility <br /> administrators. <br /> <br />The committee experienced the following problems during the year: <br /> <br />1. Limited availability of transportation (to Drs. appointments and <br /> activities). <br /> <br />Facilities are resistant to suggestions for improvement for Residents <br />Riqhts. <br /> <br />Committee members are trained and supported by the Ombudsman Program of <br />Centralina Council of Governments, Region F.
