OiO <br /> <br /> Current Living Situation (pp 10 - 12): For the 61 responses, 23 reported they were <br /> <br /> staying with family or friends. Additional responses included: about to be <br /> <br /> evicted, 18; living in a vehicle, 4; living in an abandoned building, 2; and living <br /> in the streets, 10. 13 reported "other" arrangements, most prevalently "shelter" <br /> and "hotel". <br /> <br /> For the 135 all other agencies responses from the earlier survey, 60 ~reported <br /> they were about to be evicted, 39 reported they were staying with friends, 10 <br /> reported living in a vehicle, 2 reported living in an abandoned building, and 11 <br /> reported living in the streets. A total of 15 reported other arrangements. The <br /> most prevalent response here was that they were at a motel (e.g., being provided <br /> temporary shelter in motels). <br /> <br />Length of Time in Current Situation (p.13): 48 of 61 respondents (79%) reporting <br />being in this situation less than six months and 24 (30%) reported being in this <br />situation for less than two weeks. <br /> <br /> 129 of the 135 all other agencies responses from the earlier period responded <br />to this items. '. 81 (83%) reported being in their current situation for less than a <br />month and 119 (92%) reported being in this situation for less than six months. <br /> <br />Perceived Causes of Problems with Housing (pp 14 -16): The most frequent responses <br /> <br />for the items asking what respondents felt had caused their housing problems were <br />as follows: no job or lost job, 27 (44%); problems with drinking or drugs, 13 <br />(21%); having had an illness, 19. (9.0%); and, having problems with my family, 11 <br />(18%). <br /> <br /> For the all other agencies group in the earlier survey, the leading responses <br /> <br />for this item were: no job or lost job, 57 (49.%); family problems, 29 (21%); and <br /> <br />"other", 28 (21%). <br /> <br />Employment (p]~ 17 - 18): 21 of 61 households (34%) reported a person having current <br />employment. Two of these reported being employed for as long as one year. 49 of <br /> <br />61 households (80%) reported a person unemployed. <br /> <br /> <br />
