January 25, 1993

Carolyn Carpenter, Chairperson
Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners
Concord, NC

Re: Resignation from the Cable Franchise Commission

Dear Carolyn:

Due to the additional time demands put upon me at my place of
employment and in consideration of the importance of the next
year to the Franchise Commission with the negotiations with
Vision Cable, I have concluded that I shall not be able to
balance both with the amount of time needed. Therefore, it
is in the best interests that I resign from the Cable
Commission.

It is my understanding that my husband, Ken, has indicated an
interest in being appointed to the Cable Commission. I would
like to take this opportunity to recommend his appointment as
he was most instrumental in the Commission's formation as has
kept abreast of all developments since the beginning.

In order that my decision not be detrimental to the Franchise
Commission, I would be willing to have my resignation
effective with the appointment of a replacement member.
Thank you for allowing me to serve Cabarrus County in this
capacity.

Sincerely,

Deborah Ollo
