Map/PIN's 5600-23-8964, 31-7644, 42- <br />3926, and 5509-56-8483, 542.63 acres, located off U.S. 29 <br />and Weddington Road on both sides of Concord Farms Road. <br />Wish to rezone from ARR & A-I to R-15 Special Use (SU), <br />C-1SU and I-1SU. <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 9-0 to deny this <br />rezoning request. <br /> <br />Director's Note: <br /> <br />Since the time of the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting of <br />January 21, 1993, the applicant has made several modifications to <br />the concept development plan. This has been in direct response to <br />concerns raised at the January 21, 1993 meeting. The application <br />has, therefore, been amended to completely eliminate the C-1/SU <br />(the neighborhood commercial concept along Weddington Road) and to <br />reduce the Industrial One Special Use land area by 36 acres. This <br />entire Weddington Road corridor is now planned residential. <br />Additionally, issues of buffering and the creation of a greenway <br />along Coddle Creek have been addressed. A thorough presentation of <br />the plan will be made by the applicant and more detailed review of <br />the modified plan will be presented at the Board of Commissioners <br />meeting on February 15, 1993.
