CABARRUS COUNTY UTILITY DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> WATER CONNECTION CHARGES <br /> <br /> FOR THE <br /> <br /> HOWELL CENTER CDBG WATER LINE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus seeks to provide fire <br />protection and potable water to all County businesses and citizens, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus seeks to leverage public and <br />private monies to the maximum feasible extent, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus has applied for funding for the <br />installation of a water system for to the Howell Center off Hwy 24-27 <br />in Midland using Community Development Block Grant funds, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the funding source, the North Carolina Commerce Finance <br />Center requires a recapture plan of the grant monies from connections <br />to the water lines; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners <br />of the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina, that: <br /> <br /> Section I: The following water connection charges are in <br />effect for any connection to the Howell CDBG water line for those <br />properties that have not participated in the cost of the construction <br />of this line: <br /> <br /> SERVICE TAR <br /> 3/4" meter $ 750.00 <br /> 1 "meter 850.00 <br /> 2 "meter 2,200.00 <br /> 4 "meter 4,700.00 <br /> 6 "meter cost + 10% <br />'Fire Line cost + 10% <br /> <br />CDBG ADD-ON <br /> <br />SECURITY <br /> <br />SET-UP FEE <br /> <br />$250.00 $ 50.00 $25.00 <br />250.00 50.00 25.00 <br />500.00 100.00 25.00 <br />500.00 100.00 25.00 <br />1,000.00 I00.00 25.00 <br />500.00 100.00 25.00 <br /> <br /> Section II: The Cabarrus County Utility Department will <br />collect the above mentioned CDBG add-on charges and will submit this <br />income quarterly to the Economic Development Fund balances as specified <br />by the North Carolina Commerce Finance Center. <br /> <br /> Section III: Ail development directly or indirectly served by this <br />CDBG water line shall be subject to these terms. <br /> <br /> Section IV: <br />year until 1998. <br /> <br />The CDBG add-on charges shall increase by 10% per <br /> <br /> <br />
