CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br />Job Training Activities <br /> <br />Prepared and distributed monitoring evaluation report for JTPA activities conducted <br />in Cabarrus County by Rowan-Cabarrus Community College on February 8. <br /> <br />Conducted Cabarrus County PY 93 Job Training Planning meeting at Rowan- <br />Cabarrus Community College (South campus) on February 1. Assessed county <br />job training needs and developed service strategies for upcoming year. <br /> <br />Conducted joint meeting of Centralina PIC Planning and Oversight/Evaluation <br />committees at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (South campus) on February <br />11. Reviewed results of county planning meetings and outlined recommendations <br />for the PIC. <br /> <br />Conducted Centralina Private Industry Council (PIC) and Job Training Consortium <br />meeting at Centralina COG on February 17. Attended by Cabarrus County PIC <br />members (Tonia Black-Gold, Jim Lunsford, James Polk). <br /> <br />Assisted Centralina PIC in review of JTPA 8% proposal submitted by Cabarrus <br />County/Kannapolis City Schools for PY 93. Ranked by the PIC as a number one <br />priority and submitted to DET for review on February 17. <br /> <br />Participated in DET - sponsored workshop on Job Training Reform Amendments <br />in Raleigh on February 22 and 23. <br /> <br />Attended Municipal/County Administration Update Seminar at Institute of <br />Government in Chapel Hill on February 24 and 25. <br /> <br />Reviewed, processed, and corrected Monthly Performance Reports from program <br />contractors. <br /> <br />Provided technical assistance to JTPA contractor staff. <br /> <br />Processed Monthly Financial Status Reports and Requests for Funds from program <br />contractors. <br /> <br />Aging Activities <br /> <br />Home and Community Care Block Grant Services (HCCBG) <br /> <br />Assisted in the presentation of the Cabarrus Aging Plan to the public of Cabarrus <br />County. <br /> <br />Facilitated two meetings of the Home and Community Care Block Grant Advisory <br />Committee in finalizing the Cabarrus Aging Plan and beginning planning for the <br />FY'94 county aging funding plan. <br /> <br /> <br />
