Box 707 Concord, N~rth Carolina 28025 Dear Mrs. Carpenter: I am writing to inform you of the status of the C~'t~unity Based Alternatives Task Force m~ership. We presently have five members to retire on June 30, 1993. They are: Ms. Monica Davis _187 Georgia St. S.W Concord, NC 28025 ~Mrs. Judy Green P.O. Box 668 Concord, NC 28025 Mr. David Goff P.O. Box 387 Concord, NC 28026-0387 Mr. Alexis Stinson 14 Powder Street Concord, NC 28025 In addition, I understand that; Mr. Robert Deason, has been a member of the Task Force. I have never met him and he has not attended any of our meetings in the last year. Upon discovery of this appointment the year was nearly over and I felt that it wouldbeb~in the best interest of the Task Force and the C~,,~ission to simply allow his term to expire. I hope that you are in agreement. I would like to suggest the reappointm~nt of Ms. Davis, Mrs.~ Green and Mr. David Goff to another three year term. In addition I have included a Profile sukmitted by; Mr. JefferyA. Mingo of 1527 Kingston Drive, Kannapolis, NC 28083 with the re- quest that he be appointed to a %hreevyear term also. I regret to inform you that, Mr. Leroy Staggers of 145 Cabarrus Avenue. West, Concord, Nc 28026-0145 and Mr. Barry Wicker of 301 Setter Court, Concord, NC 28025 have violated the 75% attendance policy and have unexpired terms. I request that your offfice inform them of their retirement frcm the Task Force under that provision. I will be in contact with Barber Scotia College to see if I can recruit the new Chaplain on campus to possibly fill one of the above sppointments. We are in need of minority representation and I will pursue this matter as soon as possible. If you have any suggestions in handling this matter in a better way I willbewaiting. to hear from you or your representative. Page 1 of 2
