Witherspoon/County Manager <br />Mike Byrd/Transportation Planner <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />August 11, 1993 <br /> <br />Renewal of Transportation Contract with CTS Management, <br />Inc. <br /> <br />The County entered into a 2 year contract with CTS, Inc. of <br />Wilmington on September 1, 1991. This contract is renewable on an <br />annual basis or September 1, 1993. The Transportation Advisory <br />Board (TAB) and our office recommend this contract be renewed at <br />the price of $1.00 per mile. <br /> <br />The Cabarrus County Transportation System (CCTS) ran a total of <br />301,377 miles in FY 92-93 at a cost of $307,844. The total number <br />of trips provided was 63,394, for an average of 252 trips per day. <br /> <br />A summary of the accounts for FY 92-93 is attached. A definition <br />of the abbreviations are: <br /> <br />DOA1 - Nutrition sites - (Department of Aging) <br />DOA2 - General purpose trips - (Department of Aging) <br />DOA3 - E&HTAP funding <br />DS19 - DSS Title 19 <br />DS20 - DSS Title 20 <br />DSEH - DSS E&HTAP funding <br />DSPH - DSS E&HTAP funding (prenatal care designation) <br />JOBS - JOBS program <br />PPSR - Private pay - dialysis patient <br /> <br />Also attached is a cost comparison of public operated versus <br />private operated systems.
