Box 707 <br />Concord, North Carolina 28026-0707 <br /> <br />Dear Mrs. Carpenter: <br /> <br />The county animal control ordinance re%iuires.-licensure <br />of all cats and dogs beginning April 1, 1993. ~or a <br />couple of reasons i= seems wise to postpone licensure <br />until July 1, 1993. ~irst of all, Concord has not yet <br />adopted our county ordinance and until this issue is <br />resolved there will be considerable confusion among <br />residents as to whose dogs and cats must be licensed. <br />Second!y, animal contmol has not yet acquired the <br />computer equipment necessary to properly automate the <br />!icensur~ process. <br /> <br />For those reasons, please co'sider postponing <br />!ioen~ure until July 1, 1993. It is requested that the <br />Board at this time delay implementation indefinitely until the <br />County can develop the licensing process. <br /> <br /> <br />
