SITE: FRANK LISKE PARK

Advantages:

· Consolidation of staff (other than Bakers Creek Park employees).

· Enhanced publicity for the park in advertisement of meetings, registration, athletic
organizational activities, etc.

Disadvantages:

· Expense:

Additional capital costs for construction, including parking, sidewalks and sewage.
Increase in operations budget and poss~le loss of revenue, due to location.

· Location:

Lost staff time and increase in travel budget for staff travel to meet'rags with other
county and local government agencies; supervision of activities, et al. Without
administrative office in a central location, this expense will increase as county park
facilities expand in the future.

Remote site for public registration for classes and other public meetings and activities
(6-9 miles for Concord residents; 9-12 miles for Karmapolis residents).

· Leased land.

· Land & Water Conservation rules designed to protect outdoor recreation activities from
encroachment by other land uses, including administrative uses.

Administrative office (not a direct provider of outdoor recreation activities) will make
state and federal approval difficult. By law, such approval depends on all other
alternatives having been rejected "on a sound basis."
