Cannon Charitable Trusts No. One <br />and Two have awarded your institution grants in the past, we wish to <br />advise you that the next r.~cting of these trusts, for consideration <br />of grants will be held in early ¥~ch 1992. Proposals for grants <br />should be sutmmitted to the undersigned by January 31. <br /> <br />We wish to remind you that the proposal should (.1)..be, ~ writing; (2) <br />be signed by an authorized official of the requesting organization; <br />(3) explain briefly the specific religious, charitable or educational <br />purpose for which a grant is requested and how the funds would be <br />used to accomplish that purpose; (4) include a simple budget of the <br />project, including a breakdo'~.m of how the funds requested are <br />proposed to be spent and over what period of time; (5) state what <br />other sources of funding for the project are available or are being <br />sought; and (6) disclose the nature of your status as a tm_x-exempt <br />charitable organization. <br /> <br />Should a grant be made, the grantee will be recovered to furnish a <br />report ~nd accounting as to how the funds were spent. <br /> <br />The making of grants is in the sole discretion of the trustees, <br />subject to the limitations in the trust instrument, and there is no <br />assurance that any particular request will be granted; many <br />worthwhile needs cannot be met because of the limited funds axrailable <br />for distrLbution each year. <br /> <br />Yours very truly, <br /> <br />TRUST~ OF THE ~'~.w.~ A.
