(You may contact the Regional Ombudsman to determine if the committee <br />member has been active and effective.) <br /> <br />Any vacancies should be ill]ed by the appointment of a person for a one year term. <br /> <br />The State Division of Aging may fill any vacancy if the commissioners have not made <br />appointments within 45 days. <br /> <br />Members of the committee are not compensated for their work, but may be reimbursed <br />for their actual expenses (such as mileage). The level of reimbursement, if any, is to <br />be set by the C~unty Commissioners. <br /> <br />As appointments are made, copies of the letters to the committee members should be <br />sent to the Regional Ombudsman and to the committee chairperson. <br /> <br />For any additional information about the committee contact the Regional Ombudsman at <br />the Centralina Council of Governments, Post Office Box 35008, Charlotte, North <br />Carolina 28235 (704 - 372-2416). <br /> <br /> <br />
