AGREEMENT WITH THE REGION F AREA AGENCY ON AGING 01/28/92 This agreement designates the Region F Area Agency on Aging as the lead agency for the Home and ComI~unity Care Block Grant Funding for fiscal year 1992-93 beginning July 1, 1992-June 30, 1993. Responsibilities as the lead agency for Cabarrus County are: The Region F Area Agency on Aging will be responsible for the funding plan. Will facilitate the Block Grant Advisory Committee meetings and work on the Funding Plan. Complete the Block Grant Funding Plan, submit to the Department of Aging Director and grant advisory committee for approval, and the Board of Commissioners for approval. This is a draft of the time schedule we anticipate: First meeting with the appointed Block Grant Advisory Committee scheduled by February 12, 1992. The second meeting to review the first draft of the plan by February 28, 1992. . Will submit draft of the funding plan to the county budget office by February 28, 1992. A review of the draft will be presented to local community persons at the Region F Conference on Aging March 11, 1992. PLAN -- Final plan to be presented to Grant Advisory Committee by March 31, 1992. -- The Area Agency on Aging will facilitate the public hearing on the grant funding plan by April 15, 1992. -- Meet with Grant Advisory Committee for approval of funding plan. -- The final funding plan will be presented to the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners by May 31, 1992 for approval. -- Will ensure that the Funding Plan meets all requirements as specified by the Division of Aging and completed by June 15, 1992.
