CHARLES A. CANNON MEMORIAL LIBRARY
2-7 UNION STREET, NORTH
CONCORD. NORTH CAROLINA 2e025

OFFICE OF THE DIreCTOR

MEMORANDUM

Date:
To:
From:
Subject:

January 24, 1992
Blair Bennett, Cabarrus County Finance Director
Tom Dillard, Library Director
Amendment of 1991-92 Library Budget

This is to advise you that funds appropriated for the
purchase of Library Materials, i.e., books, films, audio-tapes,
etc., purchased from line item 19-50-555 Other Operational
Costs, in the current budget will be spent before the end of
February. As has become our practice over the past several
years, I am requesting that funds granted to the Library by the
Charles A. Cannon Charitable Trusts during the previous fiscal
year be transferred into the Library Budget at the first
February meeting of the Board of County Commissioners. The
amount requested for transfer is $ 50,000.00. These funds
should be adequate to cover the purchase of Library Materials for
the remainder of the current fiscal year. As stipulated by the
Cannon Charitable $rusts, these funds may only be used for the
purchase of Library Materials and then only after all other funds
appropriated for the purchase of Library Materials are
exhausted. At their most recent meeting on January 14,1991, the
Board of Library Trustees approved this request.

cc: John V. Witherspoon~ County Manager
Steve Little, Parks and Recreation Director
