Ronald Aycock, Executive Director <br /> <br />February 28, 1992 <br /> <br />Joint District Meeting of Districts 11, 12 and 18 <br />Tuesday, March 31, 1992 - 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. <br />Rowan County Agricultural Building, Salisbury, N.C. <br /> <br />A combined meeting of Districts 11, 12 and 18 has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, from 11:00 <br />a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Rowan County Agricultural Building in Salisbury, N. C. A map to the facility <br />is on the reverse side of this memorandum. County managers are asked to share this information with <br />major department heads, as they also may be interested in attending. <br /> <br />While the meeting begins at 11:00 a.m., lunch will be served at 12:00 Noon. The cost of the meal is <br />$6.50 per person. Counties ~vill be billed for those attending or managers may bring a check for $6.50 <br />per person made out to NCACC. Counly clerks to the boards should contact Jeanette Terry at the <br />Association office NO LATER THAN FRIDAY~ MARCH 20, to provide a count of those attending <br />from their county and to RSVP for the meal. <br /> <br />The agenda for the meeting will be as follows: <br /> <br />Legislative Issues <br />A. Historical overview of counties' fiscal relationship with the state <br />B. State revenue outlook and potential impact on counties <br /> <br />Break For Lunch <br /> <br />III. <br /> <br />Legislative Issues Continued <br />C. Issues carried over from the 1991 Session <br />D. Public Awareness Campaign as part of legislative efforts <br /> <br />Non-Legislative issues (possibly to include the following): <br />A. Update on automation of human services <br />B. Update on Americans with Disabilities Act <br />C. Insurance program -- new services (assistance in meeting new jail policy and procedures <br /> requirements, incentives for counties to invest in risk control measures, coverage for <br /> underground storage tanks, and safety training videos for EMT and law enforcement <br /> drivers) <br />D. Livestock production regulations and possible impact on counties <br />E.
