February 22, 1992

Mrs. Carolyn Carpenter
Cabarros County Board of Commissioners
PO Box 707
Concord, NC 28026-0707

Dear Carolyn,

In August of 1991, I was reappointed to a three year term on
the Community Based Altermatives (CBA) Task Force, with a term that
should expire on June 30, 1994. I have enjoyed serving on this.
task force but due to some changes in my schedule, I have found it
extremely difficult to attend the Tuesday morning meetings. It is
not fair to those loyal members who are able to attend, to have
someone who misses meetings and when I can attend, I'm usually late!

This task force has been a valuable learning experience for me.
The' Chariman, C. D. Lyons has done an outstanding job. The committees
are active and all members are spending a great deal of time and thought'
into the suggestions and recommendations that will be presented to you
and the other commissioners.

Thank you for al]0wing me to help serve our county on the CBA
Task Force. I regret I am giving you this resignation, however the
regular meeting time conflicts with my work schedule and even though
I tried, it'~is just not going to work!

Sincerely,

Martha R. utledge Macon
