Off premises directional signage shall be permitted only when the <br />following conditions are met: <br /> <br />1. Off permises directional signage guiding potential buyers to <br />real estate for sale of residential property (lot and/or house) is <br />only permitted at up to two street intersections located within one <br />mile of the residential property for sale. <br /> <br />2. If the signage is to be located within the North Carolina <br />Department of Transportation's (NCDOT) road right of way, a NCDOT <br />permit must be issued by the District Engineer's office, 716 West <br />Main Street, Albermarle, N.C. 28001. All other signage within the <br />road right of way is unlawful and subject to immediate removal <br />and/or fine(GS 105-86(d)). <br /> <br />3. In order to control clutter, no more than four real estate <br />signs are permitted at an intersection. Of these four signs, only <br />one per real estate company is permitted. <br /> <br />4. Total square area for any sign shall not exceed 192 square <br />inches. <br /> <br /> <br />
